THE Bay viewers have been left ‘crying their eyes out’ after a beloved character was killed off in a brutal cliff-hanger murder.
The ITV drama once again follows family liaison officer Lisa Armstrong as she and her police colleagues investigate the murder of a man who was shot dead on his own doorstep.
*Major spoilers ahead for episode three, series two of The Bay*
The series is airing episodically on ITV every Wednesday as well as being available as a complete box set on the ITV Hub.
It means some fans who were desperate to binge watch the whole series in one go have already been left devastated by a shock death in tonight’s third episode.
Viewers were horrified to see a beloved character murdered at the end of the episode, despite being in the show since the beginning.
DC Med Karim (played by Taheen Modak) was investigating a new lead in the case and discussing his findings on the phone with Lisa (Morven Christie).
But then he was suddenly hit from behind be a car, sending him to the ground, and before the injured Med could reach for his radio, the car reversed back over him.
Lisa then arrived on the scene where Med was pronounced dead, leaving her and viewers completely devastated.
One person who has already binged the series warned people who were watching it each week on Twitter: “Be warned, episode 3 of The Bay.. it’s really upsetting. At here with tears in my eyes. #TheBay.”
Another added: “Nooooo not med.”
