OLYMPIAN ADAM PEATY WARNS RIVALS HE’S ‘SUPER COMPETITIVE’
OLYMPIC swimming legend Adam Peaty signed up for Strictly last night and warned his new rivals: “I’m super competitive.”
The double gold medallist at the Tokyo Games was yesterday unveiled as the latest celeb to take to the dancefloor as the full 14-strong line-up was finally revealed.
The 26-year-old super Olympian, from Uttoxeter, Staffs, will be swapping his breath-taking breaststroke for the cha cha and Charleston. And he will be hoping to add the famous Glitterball trophy to his stunning Olympic medal haul, which includes three gold and two silvers ? not to mention his eight World Championships.
Last night, jubilant Adam said: “I think this will come as a surprise to a lot of people, but I’m so excited to finally share the news that I’ll be joining Strictly this year.
“I’m really looking forward to doing something totally different and challenging myself away from the pool”
