LINE of Duty fans are convinced Steve Arnott will get shot dead in series six after Martin Compston posted a cryptic clue.
The 36-year-old actor has played DS Arnott in the hit BBC crime drama since 2012 and recently completed filming on series six alongside co-stars Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure.

Taking to his Instagram this week, Martin shared a black and white shot of the trio posing for a BBC iPlayer promo shot, with him in the middle.
The show’s name was printed across them, but the O in of was a bullet hole through glass, right over Martin’s chest.
Martin captioned the shot: “This a not so hidden message @bbciplayer ?”
The show has never been afraid to kill off lead characters, and so fans immediately started fearing Steve could be next on the hit list.

One fan wrote in the comments: “I swear! If Steve gets shot… this year has been hard enough already.”
Another added: “Why does the bullet have to be going through our boy Steve?”
A third posted: “I hope you’re not suggesting Steve gets shot, are you Martin?”
Others feared Vicky’s character DI Kate Fleming would be the one to shoot Steve, as she is brandishing a gun in the picture.
