WANT to make your neighbours green with envy?
From Jacqueline Jossa to Stacey Solomon, stars have been showcasing their stunning gardens on social media recently.
But you don’t need a celebrity bank balance to create a fabulous outdoor space.
I spoke to Dayna Taylor from celeb-garden specialists Charles & Ivy, who have helped give plenty of gardens star quality.
Here are her quick tips for a luxe look for less.
CUT THE GRASS: “The small details make all the difference,” says Dayna.
“Freshly cut grass is a quick, easy and cost-effective way to increase your outdoor kerb appeal.”
CREATE PARTITIONING: “More defined spaces add that luxury feeling to your garden for different activities or occasions.
“Add stylish fence screens to create an outdoor dining space or consider an enclosed fire pit area for cosy garden gatherings. There are plenty of affordable fire pits on sale now.”
ADD A FOCAL POINT: “Whether that’s a social pergola area designed to host friends and family, or perhaps it is more of a decorative element such as a fountain or even a sculpture or work of art for a really glamorous touch.”
PICK A COLOUR SCHEME: “Elevate your space with a considered colour palette.
“This can be your favourite colour to add a personal touch or a neutral shade to complement the earthy tones of the garden and tap into the celeb trend for neutral interior design.”
ADD DRAMATIC FENCING: “Out with the old and in with the new. Install decorative and low-maintenance fencing to create an uber-stylish appearance without requiring much time or effort.
“Investing in good-quality panelling from the get-go can save money in the long run as it won’t require any maintenance over the years.
“We have some amazing designs and intricate patterns that make everything look A-list.”
