EASTENDERS fans are horrified after Isaac Baptiste was tasered by police in the middle of his schizophrenic breakdown.
The teacher – who is played by actor Stevie Basaula in the ITV soap – suffered a breakdown after stopping his medication.
He locked himself in the house after being accused of taking Ruby Allen’s stepchildren.
With the police arriving, they were determined to arrest Isaac – but it all became too much for him.
It took his girlfriend Lola, dad Patrick and mum Sheree to talk him into leaving the house.
Emerging out of the house confused, Isaac is carrying an accidentally broken bottle.
What the hell? What are you doing?
As his family try to comfort him and get him to hand over the bottle, the police massively overreact.
Refusing to even acknowledge Isaac is going through a mental health episode, the policeman pulls out his taser.
With very little warning he pulls the trigger and Isaac drops to the floor in agony.
Sheree screams for her son as Lola breaks down sobbing.
“What the hell? What are you doing?” screamed Lola.
“He just tasered him and he didn’t do anything wrong.”
The policeman replied: “He could have gone for someone.”
To add insult to injury, the other police officer then arrested Isaac, who was on the floor in pain, for “affray”.
Viewers were disgusted at the scenes.
One wrote: “I know it’s only a soap, but them using a taser on Issac, especially when he’s vulnerable and not mentally well.. Is disgraceful.”
A second said: “A disturbing and distressing episode of #EastEnders, I hope the trigger-happy cop who shot poor Isaac having a breakdown will be sacked.”
Another praised: “WOW extremely powerful scenes tonight from #EastEnders, that was so emotional and incredible!”
