His evil character was last seen being sent down for terrorising Leanne after she teamed up with the police to protect her son Simon from him and his gang.

Coronation Street are currently filming scenes for the show’s dramatic Super Soap Week – so Harvey could be set to make his sensational comeback for that.

Fans have long speculated that the character would be back for revenge after he wasn’t actually shown getting sentenced for his crimes on screen.

Show bosses have also never made an official announcement that Will had made his final appearance.

ITV had no comment when approached by The Sun.

Will previously told The Sun on Sunday that he’d been left horrified after viewers asked him to sell hardcore drugs to them after seeing his character on screen.

He shared: “It was funny. I went to the local pub and someone said to me, ‘Have you got owt? Have you got owt, Harvey?’ and I was like, ‘What are you talking about?’.

“I’ve also had a few women who’ve said, ‘I hope you’re not selling drugs around here’. I’m like, ‘Stop saying that, people will overhear’.”

The actor has also suffered abuse in the street for his alter ego’s villainous behaviour, with strangers shouting at him to “leave Simon alone” – unable to separate him from nasty Harvey.
