About 20 minutes before the 3:05 p.m. Eastern scheduled kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium, the CBS broadcast feed in some areas suddenly dropped during the middle of the network’s pregame show. Just as the segment with analyst Bill Cowher interviewing Cleveland Browns Coach Kevin Stefanski was nearing an end, the feed went dark.
Almost immediately, viewers took to social media to voice their confusion and outrage. The outage seems to be primarily affecting the New York metro area and some parts of the Northeast. Neither CBS nor the N.F.L. has responded yet.
The telecast appeared to still be working on streaming platforms and some channels showing the game in Spanish.
